March of Dimes Canada (MODC) Attendant Services at York University

March of Dimes Canada (MODC) is a third-party service provider that provides assistance with daily living during the Fall and Winter terms to eligible students that live in residence on, or commute to, the Keele campus. Services are funded by the Toronto Central Local Health Integrated Network (LHIN).

The service helps to maximize students’ independence and empower their academic participation during the Fall and Winter terms. Supports available include personal care (toileting, bathing and dressing), meal set-up and feeding assistance, housekeeping, laundry, set-up support before and after class and shopping on campus.

MODC services are not available during the summer terms (May to August).

Where to Apply

To apply, please complete the Attendant Service Application and Student Supplementary form through the Attendant Service Application Centre (ASAC).

Check off the March of Dimes York University @ York Program and indicate that you are a student and the date that you will be requiring supports to start school.

The March of Dimes @ York Program is only available at Keele Campus. For those needing support at the Glendon or Markham campuses, please select the “Attendant Outreach Service” option for the correct location (Toronto for Glendon, and York Region for Markham).

Note: ASAC/MODC require a minimum of two (2) months' notice before supports are put in place. MODC holds a waitlist, and while we try our best to accommodation and support students in a timely way, there is no guarantee that supports will be in place for the beginning of the academic year.
