If you're looking for something else:

  • Students do not need to register with SAS for religious accommodations.
  • Students should speak with their instructor first and review the Registrar’s Religious Accommodation Resource for additional information.

Learn about Religious Accommodations

  • I have fallen behind due to personal or family emergency:
  • I’ll be away temporarily due to surgery or a broken bone:
    • Under York’s new Policy on Academic Consideration for Missed Course Work, undergraduate students in most programs can self-report temporary absences (up to seven continuous calendar days) using the absence reporting tool in eClass. Students using the absence reporting tool do not need to register for academic accommodations with SAS. You can use this tool if your absence is the result of:
      • a short-term health condition such as illness, physical injury or scheduled surgery;
      • the death of an immediate family member;  and/or an unforeseen or unavoidable incident beyond your control
    • Learn how to use the absence reporting tool and find out how to navigate specific situations or what to do if your absence goes beyond seven days on the Absences and Missed Course Work webpage.
