Services are available in English and French, with translation services available for other languages. 

Planned Parenthood Toronto is a community health centre that provides primary and sexual health care services to youth between the ages of 13 and 29. PPT also offers health promotion programming, education, training, and research to improve the health and well-being of Toronto’s diverse communities. All PPT services are offered within a pro-choice, inclusive, youth-friendly, non-judgmental environment.

211Central.ca provides information on community and government services available in the Toronto, Durham, Peel, and York Regions.  Health services include finding a community health centre or medical provider, pregnancy care, programs for individuals with disabilities, locating nearest walk-in clinics and emergency rooms, and more.

Services are available by calling or texting 211, or through live chat on the website. Live chat and texting services are available Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. ET. Information is available via phone anytime.

Cost for Ontario Residents:

  • With Valid OHIP: $0.00
  • Without Valid OHIP: $50.00*

*Patients can be reimbursed by providing the clinic with a valid OHIP number, within 3 months of their visit.

International Students with Private Insurance:

*Coverage and eligibility vary by insurer. Patients are encouraged to check their policy for coverage eligibility. For non-affiliated insurance partners, patients are required to pay a $50.00 consultation fee. A receipt will be issued for them to submit to their insurance company for assessment of reimbursement.

UHIP Preferred Providers

By visiting a UHIP-preferred provider, your bill will be sent directly to the insurance company at the UHIP rate, so you won’t need to pay upfront or worry about overcharges.

Use the UHIP webpage to find a preferred provider, or check the Cowan provider list for the closest option. You can also view the list of providers nearest to each campus below.

This network of UHIP-preferred providers agree to bill Cowan at the UHIP rate, so you don't need to worry about submitting a claim.

Disclaimer: Doctors and medical technologists at hospitals may charge medical expenses through their own corporations, meaning that they do not accept the UHIP. Show your UHIP card to all professionals you see to confirm whether they will bill at the OHIP billing rate.
