Our Services
Regardless of which service you need, every student follows a similar, supportive pathway when connecting with our office. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, we prioritize your individual story.
What happens when a student contacts OSCR
The process begins the moment you reach out via our intake form, email, or phone.
- Initial Intake: Our team reviews your request to ensure you are matched with the right coordinator.
- Scheduling: You will receive an invitation to book a dedicated, confidential initial meeting (either in-person or virtually).
What happens next
During your scheduled meeting, you will sit down with an OSCR coordinator to discuss the details of your situation, review any documentation you have, and identify your primary goals.
Your coordinator will walk you through university policies, outline the available paths forward, and ensure you fully understand your rights and potential outcomes. From there, we work together to co-create an action plan built specifically for your unique circumstances whether that means setting up a mediation session, drafting an academic accommodation request, or connecting you directly with specialized campus partners.
Even after the meeting, OSCR remains a resource for you. We will check in to see how your plan is progressing and continue to adjust our support as your situation evolves.
Intake Form
Connect with our team to explore support and resources. Please complete our intake form so that we can learn more about your situation and connect you with the appropriate supports and resources. Once your form is submitted, a member of the Office of Student Community Relations team will review your information and contact you to discuss next steps. While you will likely hear from us sooner, please allow up to two business days for a member of our team to reach out.
If you require assistance completing the intake form or would prefer to speak with someone directly, please contact the Office of Student Community Relations at 416-736-5231 or by emailing oscr@yorku.ca.
