- students that have been away from York for 18+ months,
- students that have attended another institution since last studying at York,
- students that have been debarred.

How to apply
You can apply using the York University Application form.
Note: Application may take 30-60 seconds to load.
Application Fee: $130, payable by Visa, Visa Debit or MasterCard (non-refundable).
*The processing of your application will be stopped if your credit card is refused. If you have fees outstanding with the University, we cannot process your application until these fees are cleared.
After you apply
After submitting your application you will receive an acknowledgment e-mail from York University including your York student number.
Use your student number to track the progress of your application and submit any required supporting documents in MyFile.
It is your responsibility to ensure that York receives all required supporting documentation before the deadline date.
If you have not received a reference number within 4-5 business days of submitting your application, please check your spam and junk folders.

Check your e-mail for updates
The Student Recruitment & Admissions Office, York University, sends official communication about your application and admission via e-mail. It is important that you open, read and take action (if required) upon receipt of an e-mail.
- Your application will be processed within 6 weeks and you will receive enrolment instructions once complete.
- The processing period begins after all supporting documentation such as transcripts, course descriptions and language proficiency test scores (if applicable) related to your application are received. These must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions at York University.
- If any required document is not received, your application will not be processed.
Enrolling in Courses
As a student who is returning to York after an extended absence, you will be informed when you can begin enrol once your file has been processed.
