York University is proud to be one of only 20 Canadian universities to participate in the Schulich Leader Scholarship program. This prestigious scholarship allows promising entrepreneurial-minded students to pursue their dreams and become the next global pioneers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) areas of study. Recipients of these scholarships must demonstrate:
- Entrepreneurial mindset (demonstrating leadership, charisma and creativity).
- Intend to pursue a career in one or more of the following focus areas:
- Technology
- Engineering
- Entrepreneurship and business enterprise
- Applied scientific research
Note: Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need.
Scholarships are valued at $100,000 ($25,000 x 4 years) for student(s) admitted to Science, Technology or Mathematics programs of study and at $120,000 ($30,000 x 4 years of study) for student(s) admitted to an Engineering program in the Lassonde School of Engineering. In addition to this large financial award, they join an elite network and benefit from student enrichment opportunities throughout the year. This scholarship is open to Canadian citizens studying at high school or CEGEP in Canada.
